Hello, I am Ben Leonard and I thank you for taking the time to visit my website. I would like to introduce myself as a candidate for District Court Judge for the 5th judicial circuit, which is comprised of Crittenden, Union, and Webster Counties. The current District Court Judge, the Honorable Daniel M. Heady, will begin serving in the capacity as Circuit Court Judge in January 2023.
As the grandson of a farmer and the son of a veteran and minister, I was taught early the value of a strong work ethic. I have used this same work ethic to handle thousands of matters as an attorney and a prosecutor. My representation has included every facet of district court from criminal prosecution, criminal defense, juvenile matters, small claims, evictions, guardianships, and other civil matters. I am a business owner and have practiced law for nearly twenty years. Currently, I serve as Assistant Crittenden County Attorney, Assistant Webster County Attorney, and Assistant Commonwealth Attorney for Crittenden, Union, and Webster Counties. As a prosecutor, I have a front row seat to see the damage drugs and crimes are doing to our communities. Now is the time to go to work to deal with the serious issues plaguing our counties. I will join you on the frontlines and never forget that I work for you as a public servant.
I am excited and very appreciative to have the opportunity to seek election as District Court Judge of Crittenden, Union, and Webster Counties. I look forward to meeting you, working for you, and earning your vote and support.
